EO at IGARSS 2024
Throughout last week, members of our group attended and made contributions to the geoscience and remote sensing conference IGARSS 2024, taking place in Athens, Greece.
The conference saw contributions in several technical sessions from current group members Irena Hajnsek, Othmar Frey, Shiyi Li, Islam Mansour and Marcel Stefko, as well as recently-departed members Lanqing Huang, Jiayin Luo, and Roman Guliaev. The presented topics included - among others - current and future EO missions, several studies of the Earth's cryosphere using spaceborne radar data, as well as studies of novel radar observation concepts.
Our colleague Shiyi Li also took part in an engaging and impactful climate change panel discussion based on the IGARSS theme for this year "Acting for Sustainability and Resilience”.
We thank all conference participants for a productive exchange of ideas, and the organisers for a very well-executed conference in the historic surroundings of Athens. See you next year at IGARSS 2025!
