EARSeL SIG Snow & Land Ice Workshop 2023
Our group participated in the 10th EARSeL workshop on Land Ice and Snow in Bern, organized by the European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories.
The 3-day workshop focused on the latest developments in remote sensing of land ice and snow. Several researchers affiliated with our group (Irena Hajnsek, Othmar Frey, Shiyi Li and Marcel Stefko) attended the workshop. They presented the latest findings of their snow research including detection of wet snow, investigation of coherent backscatter enhancement in snow, SAR tomographic profiling to retrieve snow stratification, and snow water equivalent retrieval from SAR data.
We thank the organizers of the workshop from the Institute of Geography of University of Bern, and are looking forward to participating again in the next edition.
